Kyra's Kisses Non-Profit
This is a non-profit organization that my daughter and granddaughter started in December 2013.
My granddaughter Kyra had been diagnosed with brain cancer on Thanksgiving 2013. The treatment that needed to be done was radiation in which she would have to obtain everyday for 6 weeks straight.
Kyra hated to go in the hospital to have her treatment done, from all the poking and prodding, that the hospital would then give her a toy or gift. This made the trips to the hospital a little easier to endure for her.
Then, when the family would leave the hospital Kyra would always have a toy in her hands that she started giving out to other children she come across in grocery stores, shopping centers, or even at the hospital. Mom (Kaila) decided they should bring this good deed back to there home town, Sidney; and town the lived currently in.
This started the program Kyra's Kisses Toy Boxes that we donate toys to the hospitals in Sidney and Scottsbluff, Nebraska for any child that comes in needing medical attention.
